Tofutti Better than Sour Cream Review
Tofutti is a tangy, delicious sour cream that also happens to be vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, kosher, and halal. It’s made mainly of soy protein, tofu, and palm oil, but also contains non-dairy lactic acid, which gives it that tanginess. Since Tofutti is made from soy, it doesn’t have that coconut-y flavor that a lot of vegan sour creams do, which we appreciate. While we like coconut, the flavor doesn’t always go well with other foods.
Tofutti sour cream is a perfect addition to tacos, baked potatoes, and chili. We’ve also used it to add creaminess to a vegan mac and cheese recipe and it worked great. It’s our go to vegan sour cream.
