Morningstar Farms Incogmeato Plant-based Chik’n Nuggets Review

Plant-based nuggets aren't too hard to find.  Some brands highlight the veggies that they're made of, but many attempt to recreate the flavor and texture of a traditional chicken nugget. There are a lot of options, even within this category, and we've tried quite a few. These Morningstar Farms Incogmeato Nuggets are our favorite at the moment.

The main ingredients in these nuggets are wheat flour and non-GMO soy protein, so they aren't gluten-free, but they are vegan. Many of the plant-based nuggets we've tried tend to have either a texture that's a little too stringy or a little too packed-together and firm. We've also found that the coating can have issues like not crisping up in the oven, or flaking away from the inner nugget. None of these have been true of the Incogmeato nuggets. They have a firm, but tender, texture, with a light and crispy coating that doesn't flake off. And the meat is well-seasoned and flavorful. These nuggets taste great by themselves, but also go perfectly with some Follow Your Heart Ranch Dressing or your bbq sauce of choice.
